When the reef talks...
...it wants to tell us interesting facts & stories ...would you be keen to 'open' your ears? Ever wondered what those 'rocks in the sea' a.k.a. corals are? What shapes and sizes do marine creatures come in? What it's like having the big blue ocean as your home? Want to help in marine conservation but just do not know how? Just interested to find out more about coral reefs, the marine environment and marine conservation? Let ReefTalk present to you a series of talks that cover interesting topics related to our marine environment, marine biology and ecology. Objectives? ReefTalks are organized with the aim of educating and promoting awareness of local marine life, Singapore shores and marine conservation. The talks act as a platform through which we highlight the work done by Singaporean conservationists, to promote interaction with experts, concerned individuals and the general public. Who can attend? General public (suitable for ages 5 to 95) How much? Free!! When? Saturday afternoons, between 1 to 5pm. There are 4 to 5 public talks scheduled per year, of which 2 are held in June and December to catch the school holiday crowd. Where? Venues are often at accessible locations. Previous talks have been held at library@Orchard, Bukit Merah Community Library, Singapore International Foundation and National University of Singapore.
